JULY MUSICAL THEATRE CHOREOGRAPHY INTENSIVE
July 9-21 (Monday-Thursday)
Option A) 1 week, $100
Option B) Full 2 weeks, $150
1pm-4pm
Students ages 4th-12th grade

Instructor: Ashley Meyer
Tuition:$100 for 1 week or $150 for 2 weeks (1 week option is only available the first week).

Ashley is currently an theatre instructor and director at Angelo State University and holds a Master of Arts Degree from Texas Tech University.  Most recently, she choreographed My Fair Lady at ASU to the delight of audiences who raved about the imaginative choregoraphy and upbeat style.

In this workshop, students will work on different styles of musical theatre choreography from basic movement to more complex steps. Also, Ashley will teach students the difference between classical musical theatre movement and contemporary movement/dance.   No experience in dance is necessary and there is no pressure of a performance at the end of the workshop. This is truly a training workshop where students will learn at their own pace and ability.   Also, we will work through dance audition techniques and what to expect when you attend a musical theatre audition that requires a dance audition.
