PETER AND THE STARCATCHER
A play by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker
Feb 23-25, March 2-4, 8-10
Based on the best selling book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson
This Tony-winning Broadway play is the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). This is a wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels. Not truly a musical, but not entirely a play (actually called a play with music) it was conceived for the stage for pure heartfelt entertainment from start to finish. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, it playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. Featuring 12 actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable characters, Peter and the Starcatcher uses ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination to bring the story to life.
Directed by Marcus Osborn and Elena Kent
